On June 29th, Yeadon Sailing Club hosted its annual Family Fun Day, proving once again that a little rain can’t dampen our spirits! Despite a wet start, members of all ages came together for a day filled with laughter, friendly competition, and delicious treats.
The event featured a perfect blend of onshore and on-water activities, catering to everyone’s interests. Our famous bottle race was a highlight, as always, drawing cheers and good-natured rivalry among participants. The canoe races added an extra splash of excitement, while our mini sailing race showcased the skills of our budding sailors.
As the day progressed, the aroma of a sizzling BBQ filled the air, marking the perfect conclusion to our action-packed event. And let’s not forget the “cakes galore” that satisfied every sweet tooth in attendance!
From the youngest to the most seasoned members, everyone agreed: it was a day of pure fun and community spirit. Events like these remind us why we love being part of Yeadon Sailing Club.
