Come and Try Sailing for Free!

Always wondered what sailing was like? Maybe you’ve just walked past the club many times and wondered what it’s all about?
Whatever the reason, we would love to meet you and show you what we do – we know you will love sailing (because we all do 😀).
Whether you have never been in a boat before or an old hand you will always be welcome at Yeadon SC, your local Sailing Club.
You can just turn up on the day if you like and we’ll show you around, but if you book here you’ll get priority on the water if it’s busy (and it usually is 😉)
What do I need to bring with me?
Not much really, just your enthusiasm! We will provide a buoyancy aid but wear clothes that you don’t mind getting wet – Particularly shoes as there is a good chance they will get damp (and old pair of trainers is ideal). Bring a spare pair of shoes to change into, just in case. If it’s raining we’ll probably still sail, so wear a waterproof, something warm and gloves that can get damp in this case.
Where do I find YSC?
We are in a blue/brown hut right in the park full of sailing dinghies at the west end of Yeadon Tarn – just come straight in. There is a car park (Tarn Field Car park) but it can be very full so come early! Have a look at our location here.
